Study/research at TU Berlin:

Urban Development (Master-Studiengang)

2014 - 2017

Short introduction as a TU Berlin Alumni

I am a graduate of Technische Universität Berlin- Campus El-Gouna (TUBCG), with a master degree in Urban Development. As part of my master, I conducted multiple literature reviews and studied courses on interdisciplinary studies and urban development. Throughout my bachelor and master study, I have been concerned with and dedicated to New Town Development and rural-urban migration as a crucial feature. I was heavily involved in the challenges for planning and management new development in Egypt during writing my master thesis; The Transformation of the low-income public housing provision in Egypt and the cultural, social and economic reasons behind it: The case of Haram City. Currently, I am very close to see and compare different challenges and strategies for planning and management the new development and housing projects in Germany.

What do you do now?

Since January 2018, I am working as an academic coordinator for the MBA program Building Sustainability in Technische Universität Berlin – Campus EUREF.

What services would you like to offer to TUB students?

I would like to help the academic cooperation between current members and alumni of the TU Berlin in Germany and Egypt through research and educational activities such as seminars, workshops and conferences. I'm looking forward to learning about social media, such as Linkedin groups actively participate in the networking of international alumni of the TU Berlin. As a former international student of the TU Berlin I would like to support and advise foreign students who want to study or do research at the TU Berlin.
