Technology transfer with the Centre for Entrepreneurship: Explore your opportunities!

In this session you will learn more about your career development opportunities in the technology transfer and start-up context. We will…

  • demonstrate alternative ways for you to put your scientific results into action, including startups, validation studies and industry collaborations,
  • introduce the services of TU Berlin’s Centre for Entrepreneurship and describe how we can support you with your transfer activities,
  • share some best practice examples of technology transfer, including a live Q&A with our Exist team PANTOhealth.

TU Berlin’s Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE) is the starting point for everyone from the TU Berlin interested in exploring their entrepreneurial skills. It promotes startup and transfer activities at the university and offers a practice-friendly environment with application-oriented lectures and workshops, network events as well as individual consulting. Scientists, students and graduates are encouraged and supported to bridge the gap between research and implementation.

In order for us to tailor the session to your interests, it would help us if you could spare 3 minutes to answer the short survey in the link below.

Dr. Caroline Reid is an innovation manager at TU Berlin’s Centre for Entrepreneurship, focusing on technology scouting. She works with scientists to identify innovative application orientated research ideas and to assist the scientists in transferring their research ‘out of the lab’. She has a PhD in Medical Physics from University College London and has worked in both scientific research and science management. In 2018, she joined the fascinating world of technology transfer working at first at Potsdam Transfer and then at TU Berlin.

Irina Shults is a start-up consultant at the Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE). She supports start-up teams from the first consultation throughout the CfE structured incubation process. She works to enable start-ups to see their idea from an objective perspective and to interrogate the plausibility of their business idea. CfE focuses on technology-based ideas which have a potential of a triple impact: economical, ecological and social. Irina studied Economics and Philology and has worked in the start-up support since 2013, at TU Berlin since 2018.
